Born of Bosnian heritage, I understand the weight of displacement and the power of preserving cherished memories. My journey began as an immigrant child, arriving on American shores at the tender age of two, fleeing a homeland torn by strife. Raised amidst the spirited cityscape of Chicago, I imbibed my family’s core values of diligence, integrity, and the pursuit of dignity. My degrees in Psychology and Biology from Northeastern Illinois University laid the foundation for my life’s ambition – to heal through imagery.

This calling is more than a profession; it’s a tribute to my uncle, a fellow photographer and an exquisitely creative soul. He, too, was shaped by the same war-torn landscape, drawing on his own pain to bring solace through photography.
